Pump House Sculpture: MITAKUYE OYASIN

On March 24, 2007, a colossal metal sculpture was donated to the Pump House Center for the Arts for permanent display on the lawn by Greenfield artist Roger W. Downs.
The title of
the sculpture is
"MITAKUYE OYASIN"
(Mee-tah-koo-yah O-yah-seen) or "All My Relations"
a Native American word belonging to the Ocheti Sakowin.
This powerful phrase is a recognition of the unity. Even more, it is a salutation,
a prayer for all creation to commune in harmony and balance.
The sculpture is best viewed in person, so please make a trip to the Pump House, either during the Earth Gathering festival or some other day, to enjoy this 4000 lb., 15 feet tall creation of stainless steel.
