Exhibition Information
The Chillicothe Art League’s tenth-annual Spring Open Exhibition will be ready for viewing March 13 - April 20,
at the Pump House Center for the Arts, located in Yoctangee Park, downtown Chillicothe.
Eligibility
Open to Ohio artists at least 17 years old residing within a 75-mile radius of Chillicothe
Original work only/no reproductions please
Works must not exceed 7 feet in COMBINED length and width
2D art must be wired or will not be hung • No sawtooth hangers
Work must NOT have appeared in any previous Chillicothe Art League Spring Open Exhibition
Limit 2 entries per artist
This is now a 2 category show, but the entry limit is still 2 per artist,
so artists may enter 2 in one category or 1 in each category.
Registration
Fees and registration forms must be postmarked by Feb. 28, 2008. Entry fees are non-refundable.
Entry Fees
CAL members in good standing (attended 2 meetings since March 07): $5 per piece
Non-members and non-active members: $10 per piece
Late entires - Registrations postmarked after 2/28/08: $15 per piece
Late entries
Late entries will be accepted (at $15 per piece) only until the show is full.
There is an approximate capacity of 80 pieces, but space will vary with artwork sizes.
CAL may be unable to accept work registered after the 2/28 deadline.
Awards (we are opening up a second category this year)
Best of Show ($200)
Patricia Best Eley Most Creative Award ($150),
2D category: 1st place ($100), 2nd place ($75), 3rd place ($50), honorable mention ribbons
3D category: 1st place ($100), 2nd place ($75), 3rd place ($50), honorable mention ribbons

Delivery of Art
Deliver work to the Pump House Saturday and Sunday only, March 8 & 9, 1- 4 p.m.
Work must be tagged on back with identification. Work must be checked in, not just dropped off.

Opening Reception
A reception is set for Thursday, March 13, 6-8 p.m. where artists can listen to live music, eat, drink
and mingle with the public. Awards will be handed out at the reception around 7 p.m.
Removal of Art
Please pick up work Sunday April 20, 1-4 p.m.
Sales
Sales through the Chillicothe Art League are encouraged and promoted.
A 30% commission on sales resulting from this exhibition will go to the
Pump House Center for the Arts to further its programs.
