This is considered a juried invitational, so artists have been selected from other Ohio festivals throughout the year we feel match the festival standards.Since one of the themes of this event is to support the local and regional economy...
artists, musicians and organizations must reside or be headquartered within a
100-mile radius of Chillicothe, Ohio. This includes cities in Kentucky and West Virginia.THE DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS IS MARCH 1, 2010 at 5 p.m.

The 11th-annual Earth Gathering festival is set for April 17, 2010.
The festival will open at 11 a.m. and end at 7 p.m. (an 8-hour event).
An alternate date is set for Sunday, April 18 ONLY if severe weather is
forecast for Saturday. Please leave both days open.Applicants must reside within a 100-mile radius of Chillicothe, Ohio.
Artists, musicians and non-profit organizations with Earth-friendly messages
and products are sought from other Ohio festivals throughout the year.
All artists and organizations must go through the application process and
be accepted to participate in the festival as a vendor or organizational booth.Chillicothe Art League now obtains an outside judge to select the work.
Artists will be chosen based on quality, affordability, presentation and relevance
of work to the show. This is an art festival with an Earth Day theme, not a craft fair.
All work sold must be created (hand-made) by the artist applying.
No more than TWO artists may apply for the same 10 x10 space.
Application must indicate artist intend to share a space.Application packets should include application, booth fee, a general range of prices
for art to be sold at the event plus a minimum of THREE non-returnable photographs
with corresponding prices. Digital images may be e-mailed separately by the dealine.
Applicants who feel there is an explanation needed to tie the work to the event theme
may also do so.Approximately 30-40 spaces will be designated for artists and 5-10 for informational organizations relevant to the festival theme. Organizations which choose to sell ANYTHING
at the festival must pay the vendor fee. Organizational sales must be relevant (to the group cause and the festival) and approved by the coordinator PRIOR to the event.
Free drawings are allowed at informational booths. Otherwise, no raffles please.
The EG will host its own raffle during the event.A Best of Show ribbon will be awarded during the event for the art that best represents
EG criteria. This year there may be a cash prize for Best of Show depending on funds.BOOTH SPACE _____________________________
Vendors MUST Provide their own 10’ x 10’ EZup-style tent, staying within boundaries of
the space marked on the grass. Tents make the event more professional and protect
vendors and products from the elements. Vendors are given one measured space only.
Tables and chairs will NOT be provided. Electricity available for the food vendor only.
A $20 late fee will be applied to any application fee arriving past the March 1 deadline
at 5 p.m.--no exceptions. Notification letters will be mailed mid-March.
Uncashed checks will be returned to unaccepted applicants.
Otherwise, there are NO REFUNDS.
EG booth fees are quite reasonable. Please pass the savings on.
Affordable art is one of the selling points of this event.

Booths must be attended at all times. Pets may not accompany vendors. No walk-in or walking vending. Music on the P.H. grounds is prohibited (other than music provided by the festival).
The CAL and Pump House will not be responsible for lost, damaged or stolen items at the EG festival.Tent stakes and side flaps are strongly recommended in case of wind and light rain,
in which case, the event will go on.Vendors will take full responsibility for their own sales taxes, obtaining licenses, state vending permits and insurance. Be prepared to be contacted by the State of Ohio to report income following the event, as EG is asked by the state for a full list of vendors.
Eight local and regional bands will entertain guests with music centered around nature and peace. Check EG Web site for schedule and links to band sites for music samples in April. Speakers will briefly educate the public on subjects such as agriculture, preservation,
recycling, clean energy and other local announcements throughout the day.
Additions and expansions are in planning for 2010.Please do not contact the coordinator by phone after the work has been juried.
